Nestled in a breathtaking downland and cliff top setting, Ventnor Golf Club is the oldest club on the island, founded in 1892. With panoramic vistas of the countryside, mainland, and English Channel, it’s no wonder we have the best views on the island.
Our twelve-hole course, spanning approximately 5,700 yards, provides an enjoyable and challenging experience for both low and high handicappers. With six of the twelve holes being played twice and alternative tee boxes on several holes, the back nine offers a variation that keeps things interesting.
But Ventnor Golf Club isn’t just about the game. We pride ourselves on being an exceptionally friendly little club, welcoming visitors with open arms. While we value etiquette, we also believe in a relaxed dress code, but above all, we want you to enjoy your game and the stunning scenery surrounding you.
If you’re thinking of joining a club, come and have a free round with one of our members and see for yourself why Ventnor Golf Club is the place to be. Beginners are most welcome, and we can even arrange to show you how to play this wonderful game.
Join us for a round of golf that will leave you feeling invigorated and refreshed. And don’t forget to take in the views – they’re truly something special.

From our members
We’ve been members now for a few years, and the club has gone from strength to strength. The course has breathtaking views, is in great condition and has a very friendly and welcoming membership. What’s not to like?
Golf for me, is a game played for enjoyment.
There is not one member of Ventnor Golf Club that I would not want to play with. I’m sure this is because most members feel that the club is theirs and that they want it to be recognised as such. There are no airs; no graces; no pretences.
I love playing at Ventnor. The course is quirky and challenging and gets the better of me on most rounds.
The views are stunning from a fantastic spot on a beautiful island.
But most of all it is the people. Without the people you don’t have a club. I have only been a member for about a year. Yet from the minute I came up to visit the club I have been made so welcome by everyone. I look forward to every round at Ventnor Golf Club.
